The Region of Agadir is already a reference destination on the national and international level. It has an important potential in view of its climatic and environmental assets. Conscious of this potential, the National Tourist Development 2010 vision has listed the Agadir destination amongst its priorities.


Indeed, the city of Agadir is part of the National Programme no. 2, that of Regional Development Plans (PDR) aiming at levelling and enlarging the capacities of the traditional tourist destinations, which contribute to 50 % of the national capacity envisaged by the 2010 vision (80 000 beds for AZUR plan and 80 000 beds for Regional Development Plans.


With this end in view, several projects have been devised to achieve an accommodation capacity allowing for more reinforcement of Agadir Destination compared with competitive destinations, the volume impact being highly recommended to make to the tourist activity more profitable.
